Why Chhindwara

          A detailed feasibility study was conducted to explore the potential of employment and self-employment opportunities for short term skill training and to identify best possible trades to match the community and employer needs.

Findings of the study include:
Education status
Chhindwara is relatively developed from its neighboring districts in terms of education. There are opportunities available for students in almost all disciplines. At 60.33%, Chhindwara’s average literacy rate is higher than the State (Madhya Pradesh) average
The district has good connectivity with other major cities and industrial hubs. The main sources of connectivity are road and rail. Plans are in motion to connect Chhindwara with Nagpur with a broad gauge and electrification of the existing Bhopal route.
 Skill development trend in Chhindwara
There are 11 ITIs in the district which offers more than 20 different courses. In addition to these there are training Centres such as NIIT, Star HR, Apparel Training and Design Centre &Footwear Design and Development Institute, Aegis BPO, &IL&FS Training Centre
Availability of candidates /students for training

As per the CII study, 74% of the youth were not employed. Students are generally willing to pay training fees however the amount differs according to their economic situation and placement opportunities after completion.
